Import SKUs and packaging by CSV

Preparing the file

  • Download the template from the CSV Import page — the column headers must match it.
  • Supported formats: CSV or TSV (UTF-8). Working in Excel? Save/export the sheet as CSV first — XLSX files themselves cannot be uploaded. The first row is the header.
  • Rows are matched to existing SKUs by ASIN or your internal SKU code: a matching SKU is updated, an unmatched row creates a new one. Blank cells on an update leave the existing value untouched — they do not wipe it.

Validate, then confirm

The import runs in two steps. First the file is validated: you see a preview with per-row errors (bad numbers, unknown materials, over-limit rows). Nothing is written yet. Only when the preview is clean do you confirm, which applies the rows inside your plan's SKU limit.

Pitfalls to check before uploading

  • Row width — a row with more or fewer cells than the header is dropped without an error. If the imported count is lower than expected, check for stray commas or merged cells.
  • Percentages — recycled-content (pcr_pct) values should be 0–100.
  • Materials — use the material names shown in the template notes; unknown names fail validation.

After the import

Spot-check a few rows in SKU Master and Packaging. Re-uploading a corrected file is safe — rows matching an existing ASIN or SKU code update that SKU instead of duplicating it.
