Your documents, your rights

The compliance industry has a bad habit: holding your own paperwork hostage until the next invoice is paid. We built globalEPR.ai the other way around. Here are our three promises, in plain language.

1. The document always belongs to you

You can download your Declaration of Conformity (DoC) PDFs free, at any time — on the free tier, on a paid plan, and even after you cancel. Keep copies on your own computer, send them to a marketplace, hand them to an auditor: none of that goes through us, and none of it ever costs anything.

That's not a marketing line — it's a product rule. At globalEPR.ai there is no connection between paying us and accessing your own documents.

2. We charge for the service around the document — not the document

So what do we charge for? The ongoing services that surround the document:

• Creating and signing new Declarations of Conformity is part of the paid plans;
• The public verification link (the /verify page behind the QR code on your packaging, which auditors and marketplaces can check at any moment) has to stay online around the clock — that hosting is the paid service.

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requires Declarations of Conformity to be kept for 10 years. If you ever leave a paid plan, you can keep your published verification links online with a one-time hosting purchase: 1 year for €99, 2 years for €189, 3 years for €249, or the full 10-year legal retention period for a single €499 — one payment, no bill that climbs every year.

3. A document never silently disappears

Even if you downgrade to the free tier or a hosting term runs out, your public links don't just vanish:

• A downgrade starts a 60-day grace period, with reminders at 30, 7 and 1 days;
• An expired hosting term gets a further 14-day renewal grace;
• And if a link does go offline, visitors see a neutral bilingual notice — never an error page. Renew or upgrade and the same link comes straight back, so printed QR codes keep working.

One important legal boundary

globalEPR.ai prepares, stores and verifies your Declarations of Conformity — but the manufacturer or importer signs the declaration and remains legally responsible for it. We are your tool, not your signatory. That's what PPWR requires, and it's also what keeps you in full control of your own compliance record.
