United Kingdom · EPR
The UK operates packaging EPR (pEPR) separately from the EU, administered by PackUK/Defra. Obligated producers report packaging data and, from 2025, pay disposal fees based on the material.
Large producers: over £2m turnover AND more than 50 tonnes of packaging. Small producers: over £1m turnover AND more than 25 tonnes (reduced obligations).
Report packaging data twice a year (H1 and H2); disposal fees are invoiced based on your reported tonnage.
