Spain reformed its packaging rules under Royal Decree 1055/2022. Producers must enrol in the Producer Register and join a collective scheme (SCRAP) such as Ecoembes, and a plastic packaging tax applies.
Registration in the Registro de Productores de Producto is required to place packaging on the market.
Declare packaging placed on the market annually to your SCRAP.
